Day 5 Evan

Today we recovered a morning wake up call at 7pm. Shortly after we travelled to IHOP to get a massive breakfast. From there we went to the Iwo Jima marine corps memorial. We took a short bus ride to the Roosevalt memorial. This was a nice memorial with two statues of the famous president surroding by fountains and notable quote. By this time the temperature was already at 30 degrees. We then walked along the Potomac River to the Martin Luther King jr. Memorial. Another cool statue of him where he was a stone of hope emerging from the mountain of despair. We walked to the famous Lincoln memorial and the reflecting pool. After we took a cool picture on a statue for Albert Einstein. We also visited the WW 2, Vietnam and Korea memorials. All of the memorials were very interesting. After three hours of walking in the heat we took the bus to the department of agriculture and had a nice lunch. From there we went to the Arlington Cemetery. We were fortunate to see the changing of the guards. It was cool to see how they did it. We also visited Kennedy's grave. After another hour of walking we came back to the hotel for a rest. Then we went to the very busy Georgetown. I did not enjoy this very much because I do not like to shop. Now we are back at the hotel for the last night of our fun trip. It was a fun day and a great way to say goodbye to a great city.
